About
I’m a software engineer who builds things for the web and thinks a lot about how technology shapes the way we live and communicate.
Background
I specialize in web development and AI integration—building platforms, tools, and systems that bring these two domains together in practical ways. I care about craft: clean architecture, thoughtful developer experience, and software that works reliably at the edges, not just in the demo.
Outside of engineering, I write about technology, host and guest on X Spaces covering topics from AI policy to internet culture, and create YouTube content that breaks down technical ideas for a wider audience. I believe that the people building the tools should also be part of the public conversation about how those tools get used.
Wildlife & Conservation
I serve on the board of a wildlife nonprofit. This work keeps me grounded—it’s a reminder that the most important systems aren’t the ones we build in code. Technology is a means, not an end, and it should serve the living world as much as the digital one.
Gaming
I’m a lifelong gamer across both digital and tabletop. I run pen and paper RPG campaigns, play strategy and indie games, and find that the design thinking in great games—systems, emergent behavior, player agency—translates directly into how I think about software. The best systems create space for stories you didn’t plan.
This Site
Built with Firefly Collective, a schema-driven WordPress framework I built. Content lives in flat files and JSON schemas, deployed via CLI. No page builders, no drag-and-drop—just files, version control, and a system that stays out of the way.
